Meet Megan
Sunshine Coast Family and couplE photographer
Hi I am Megan, I am a mum of 2 beautiful rascals, wife and portrait photographer. I first fell in love with Photography when I was a little girl, my life was always surrounded by family and lots of them (dad was one of 15 children and mum one of 9) we spent so much time with family growing up and i remember so clearly my uncles and my dad taking photos to capture it all. On every wall at home was a photograph of someone and I was always looking at them, whenever we went to visit someone the first thing I did was look at every photo on their walls, I just loved it. I knew that photography was something I wanted to pursue one day.
I picked up my first DSLR camera in my early 20s alongside a course in Graphic Design and Photoimaging, I photographed everything back then and regularly went out with my friends camera in hand. I gave it away when I started pursuing other things; theology, pilgrimages and youth ministry.
It wasn't until my mum passed away that I started dreaming about photography again. My mum always had a dream in her heart and unfortunately she wasn't able to see that dream to fruition, she passed in 2022 after a short fight with Motor Neuron Disease (MND). So, after I had my first child I decided that life was indeed too short and it was time to really take my dream of being a photographer seriously.
I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, tucked away near the Glasshouse Mountains. When I am not behind the camera, you will find me just doing my absolute hardest at being the best mother and wife I can be. I am passionate about motherhood and family life and would love to capture you in whatever season you find yourself in.
